Above is a link to a story that I originally read on SafeChat.  The original has Jodi's whole letter to the University President and it is worth the read.  I am not sure that this version has that but the story is the same.  Read it and think about the implications.

I was born in the late 60's and raised in the 70's and 80's.  We were taught not to be racist.  We grew up with Sesame Street, the great American Melting Pot, sitcoms that celebrated diversity and mixed marriages.  We were taught not to make fun of people with disabilities.  What the actual hell is going on?!
